Karen Martin is a Senior Editor at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, in charge of the Sunday Perspective (Editorial and Op-Ed pages) as well as a film critic and home video columnist. In 1999, Karen founded the Democrat-Gazette’s MovieStyle section, a dedicated film review section that continues to be published every Friday. She began reviewing film for the Arkansas Gazette in the mid-1980s and is a member of the Alliance of Female Film Journalists. She has served on the screening committees of the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival and the DOXA Film Festival in Vancouver, B.C.
