For the past nine years, Hap Erstein has been heard on WJNO radio, 1290 on the AM dial, reviewing and discussing the latest film releases. Those critiques and features are then available to be heard aspodcasts at http://www.wjno.com./ Prior to that, he was on the arts staff of The Palm Beach Post newspaper for 15 years, writing about and reviewing movies and theater. He retired from the Post in 2008 as it went through a major downsizing effort, but was brought back on a freelance basis a year later. In the interim, he helped found Palm Beach ArtsPaper, a website and hard copy magazine of the arts, that features his reviews. He began his daily newspaper reviewing career at The Washington Times in the nation's capital where he covered the arts for another 12 years, winning numerous national and local awards and being nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in Criticism.
